Which College Department Pays For College Site Access?
- The Career Office is most often the lead decision-maker funding the purchase of College Site Access. In many instances the Study Abroad office also often takes the lead. The Electronic Resource buyer at the main library in some cases is also a co-funder for College Site Access.
- The decision-making process on campus is often a group effort encompassing the Career Center (who recognize the career value of our product) and the International Office / Study Abroad Office (who most readily understand the international and cross-cultural dimensions of students going abroad).
- Other departments who may often help with funding are: business schools, engineering schools, the alumni office (since all alumni have access to The BIG Guide Online) and foundations or corporate sponsors that directly support your college's internationalization efforts.
